This sundae is perfect for a summer barbecue party; it's easy to make and looks like something out of a fancy restaurant. Grilled ice cream! Sounds intriguing, and the taste is even better! Scoops of strawberry ice cream are wrapped in thinly rolled pound cake slices. Keep them in the freezer, and just before serving, grill them over medium-high heat to prevent the ice cream from melting and to ensure a deliciously golden brown crust. To serve, cut the scoop in half, top with whipped cream, and drizzle with chocolate sauce.

Recipe:


Roll out four pound cake slices 2 cm thick with a rolling pin to about 0.5 cm thick. Place a small scoop of strawberry ice cream in the center of each slice. Working quickly, roll the ice cream scoops into the pound cake slices to form 4 scoops. Freeze for 2-4 hours. Grill the ice cream scoops over medium-high heat, turning, until grill marks appear on at least both sides, 10-30 seconds. Serve with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
