This is a basic recipe for beef hamburger patties, which you can customize with any toppings and place on any bun you like. But the most important part of a burger is the patty. To ensure it's juicy and tender, it's important not to press too hard or compress the ground meat when mixing and shaping it. The meat should remain airy. To ensure a delicious beef patty, simply season it with salt and pepper just before frying. This recipe calls for medium-rare cooking. If you prefer your patties more done, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 350 g of ground beef shoulder
  • 350 g of ground beef sirloin steak
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil to grease the grill grates
  • Hamburger buns, cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce, pickles, and French fries for serving (optional)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Gently combine the two types of ground meat in a large bowl, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form four patties, each 2 cm thick and 10 cm in diameter. Sprinkle evenly with 1.5 teaspoons of salt and 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper.

  3. Lightly oil the grill grate. Place the patties on the grill, being careful not to press them down with a spatula. Cook until browned on one side, about 3.5 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until browned, about 3 minutes for medium-rare.
  4. Assemble burgers using buns and any toppings of your choice and serve with fries.
