Pizza is one of the most popular Valentine's Day dishes: it's loved by everyone, easy to make, and with a few simple steps, it can express all your heartfelt feelings in a single slice. This recipe calls for two heart-shaped pizzas. Store-bought yeast pizza dough and store-bought tomato sauce make the process even easier. Cut out hearts from the dough, spread them with sauce, sprinkle with mozzarella, and top with pepperoni hearts. For an even more appetizing crust, place the pizzas on a hot baking sheet in the oven.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 g of store-bought pizza dough
  • 1 tbsp olive oil + extra for greasing

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place the pizza dough in a medium bowl and brush generously with olive oil. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest at room temperature for 1 hour.
  2. After the time has elapsed, place a large, inverted baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and preheat the oven to 260°C.

  3. Fold a pepperoni slice in half and trim the edges with kitchen scissors to form a heart. When you unfold the pepperoni slice, you'll have a whole heart. Repeat with the remaining pepperoni and set it aside.
  4. Divide the pizza dough into 2 balls. On a lightly floured surface, stretch 1 ball of dough into a 15 cm (6 in) circle. Transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper, then transfer the parchment and dough to another inverted baking sheet. Using kitchen scissors, cut out a large heart shape from the dough.
  5. Put out half tomato sauce Spread the parchment paper over the dough, spread it in a thin layer, and sprinkle with half the mozzarella. Top with half the pepperoni slices. Using a pastry brush, brush the exposed areas of the dough with olive oil. Carefully transfer the parchment paper pizza to the preheated baking sheet and bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, 6-8 minutes. Let cool for 1-2 minutes, then slice. Repeat with the second pizza.
