Time: 15 min.
Complexity: easily

This mini pizza is made on individual bagels, but it has everything we love about this Italian classic: a crispy crust, tangy tomato sauce, and plenty of melted cheese. This pizza is cooked entirely in an air fryer, which is much faster than the classic version cooked in the oven or stovetop. You can add more toppings, such as pepperoni or bell peppers, if desired.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 plain bagels, cut in half horizontally
  • 0.5 cup canned tomato sauce
  • 4 slices provolone (about 100 g)
  • 1 tbsp. grated mozzarella (about 100 gr.)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, optional
  • Additional toppings: mini pepperoni slices, sliced roasted bell peppers, sliced pitted black olives, or banana pepper rings
  • Freshly grated Parmesan, for serving
  • Special equipment: air grill with a capacity of 6 liters.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place bagels cut-side up in an air fryer. Toast at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown, about 2 minutes (see Note).
  2. Remove the bagels from the air fryer. Drizzle each with 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce, top with 1 slice of provolone, sprinkle with 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella, 1/4 teaspoon of oregano, and 1/8 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, if using. Add other toppings, if desired.

  3. Return the bagels to the air fryer. Cook at 350°F (175°C) until the bagels are toasted and the cheese is melted and starting to brown, another 4–5 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.

    Note

Your air fryer's settings may vary depending on the model. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions when using it.
