Craving homemade buns, but it's too hot outside for baking or your oven is already full? These simple, flaky biscuits are made in the air fryer without the need for an oven (or frying pan). Serve them warm with honey butter, which is also easy to make at home.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
Buns
- 2 cups self-raising flour + extra for dusting
- 0.5 tsp sugar
- 110 g chilled unsalted butter
- 1 cup of sour milk or kefir, shake
Honey oil
- 55 g unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
- Special equipment: 6-liter air fryer, cookie cutter with a diameter of 5 cm.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Biscuits:
Place the flour in a large bowl and add the sugar. Using your hands, mix 6 tablespoons of butter into the flour mixture until it forms a sand-like consistency with small chunks of butter. Stir in the buttermilk with a wooden spoon, then turn the dough out onto a floured work surface. - Form the dough into a circle 12–15 cm in diameter and about 2.5 cm high. Dust a round cookie cutter with flour and cut out 10–12 circles from the dough. Transfer the cookies to a plate.
- Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Brush each bun with melted butter. Place the buns in a 6-quart air fryer, making sure they touch. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown, about 15 minutes (see Note).
- Honey butter:
While the cookies are baking, combine the butter, honey, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside or refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve the biscuits warm with honey butter.
