This simplified biscuits recipe eliminates the need for rolling and cutting dough. Simply spoon it into mounds and bake. The buns will be just as delicious and flaky, and thanks to the addition of whole-wheat flour and a little honey, they're also healthy. They're perfect for breakfast with honey, or for lunch.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the butter and rub it into the flour with your fingers or a handheld pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the milk, honey, and egg white. Add to the dry mixture and stir with a fork until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Place 12 mounds of dough on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet.
  5. Serve the buns warm with honey.
