Grated cheddar and freshly ground black pepper infuse these biscuits with incredible aroma and flavor. They're golden and crispy on the outside, deliciously flaky and soft on the inside. They're perfect for snacking throughout the day, or as a substitute for regular bread with main courses.

3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 2 cups of premium flour + extra for working with the dough
- 3/4 cup grated cheddar
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 0.5 tsp coarse salt
- 1 2/3 cups heavy cream, plus extra for greasing the pastry
- Special equipment: 5cm cookie cutter.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 220°C. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cheddar, baking powder, sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Add the cream and mix with a wooden spoon until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a ball and transfer it to a floured work surface. Form the dough into a 1 cm thick circle and cut out 5 cm circles. Gently press the dough scraps together and cut out more circles.
- Place the dough circles 2.5 cm apart on the prepared baking sheets and brush with cream. Bake until the buns are golden brown on the bottom, about 12 minutes.
