The air fryer cooks perfectly crispy-tender green beans with very little oil. To serve, top them with a simple gremolata, flavored with lemon zest, fresh parsley, and garlic, which is easy to make while the beans are roasting.

Ingredients:

  • 450 g green beans, ends removed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil + extra for serving
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 small clove of garlic, finely grated
  • Finely grated zest of half a lemon
  • 3 tbsp toasted almond flakes
  • Special equipment: air grill with a capacity of 3.5 liters.
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F). In a large bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a few grinds of black pepper. Transfer the beans to the air fryer basket and cook, stirring once, until tender and bubbly, about 12 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the parsley, garlic, lemon zest, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and a couple of turns of black pepper until smooth. Add the toasted almonds.
  • Step 3
  • Place green beans on a serving platter, top with gremolata and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
