Green beans are first blanched and then pan-fried in olive oil with spices until all the beans are coated in the flavorful fat. Garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper infuse the vegetables with the wonderful flavor and aroma of Mediterranean cuisine. This side dish is perfect for both a holiday menu and a weekday dinner.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 340 g of green beans
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Microwave green beans according to package directions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, a generous pinch of salt and black pepper, and sauté for 2 minutes. Add green beans, stir, and sauté for another 2 minutes. Serve hot.
