Green beans are first blanched and then pan-fried in olive oil with spices until all the beans are coated in the flavorful fat. Garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper infuse the vegetables with the wonderful flavor and aroma of Mediterranean cuisine. This side dish is perfect for both a holiday menu and a weekday dinner.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Microwave green beans according to package directions.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, a generous pinch of salt and black pepper, and sauté for 2 minutes. Add green beans, stir, and sauté for another 2 minutes. Serve hot.
