Fried mozzarella sticks in a crispy breading are a great appetizer for any occasion, whether it's a friendly beer party, a game, or a movie. And in an air fryer, you can fry them without adding any extra fat, resulting in sticks as crispy as deep-fried ones, with a gooey cheese inside that's sure to drive anyone crazy! You can even roll a few servings of cheese in the breading and freeze the sticks for a quick fry-up at any time and enjoy them dipped in tomato marinara sauce.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 0.5 cups premium flour
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup spiced breadcrumbs
  • 6 mozzarella sticks
  • Marinara sauce, for filing

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in three separate shallow bowls. Sprinkle the flour and breadcrumbs with 1 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the cheese sticks in half crosswise, roll them in flour, then dip them in egg and roll them in breadcrumbsRepeat with the remaining mozzarella sticks. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and freeze for 2 hours.

  3. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 200°C (400°F). Spray the breaded cheese with cooking spray. Spread it in an even layer in the air fryer and cook, turning once, until golden brown and crisp, about 6 minutes. Serve with marinara sauce.
