This is the perfect appetizer for house parties. Beer and cheddar come together to create an incredible sauce for crispy mozzarella sticks—you can never have too much cheese! To serve, sprinkle with finely chopped chives and a mixture of poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and dried onions.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 package (680 g) frozen mozzarella sticks
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp. premium flour
  • 0.5 tsp mustard powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 3/4 cup beer
  • 0.5 cups low-fat cream (10%)
  • A little hot sauce
  • 2 cups grated cheddar
  • 1 tbsp. poppy seed, sesame and dried onion topping
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Prepare mozzarella sticks according to package directions.
  2. Creamy Beer Sauce:

    Meanwhile, melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the flour, mustard powder, smoked paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon salt; cook, stirring, until smooth, about 1 minute.

  3. Whisk in the beer, cream, and hot sauce until smooth; bring to a boil and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar until melted.
  4. Place the mozzarella sticks on a serving platter. Sprinkle with the seasoning mixture, chives, and drizzle with the sauce.
