Sweet breadsticks, despite their simplicity, are always a delight and are perfect for a light snack with tea or coffee. Sprinkle store-bought puff pastry with a mixture of brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon, cut into strips, twist into twists, and bake. No special skills are required, and the sticks turn out just like those at the cafe.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Combine the sugar, pecans, and cinnamon in a mini food processor and pulse until sandy. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Unroll the dough and brush with beaten egg. Spread the sugar mixture on top. Cut in half, then cut into 8 1/2-inch-wide strips. Roll the strips. Place on the baking sheets, pressing the ends with your thumb.
  2. Freeze for 10-15 minutes to firm up the dough.

  3. Preheat oven to 200°C. Bake until golden brown, rotating the baking sheets halfway through baking, 18-20 minutes. Let the twists cool on a wire rack.
