A recipe for mozzarella sticks fried in a breadcrumb mixture with Parmesan cheese. Serve with a thick marinara sauce for dipping.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1.5 cups Italian herb breadcrumbs
  • 1 and 1/3 cups finely grated Parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 kg mozzarella or suluguni cheese, cut into 56 bars approximately 1.5 cm thick.
  • 4 large eggs (beaten beforehand)
  • 1.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 4 cups marinara sauce (see recipe) Here)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Mix in a medium bowl breadcrumbs, 1 tbsp. parmesan and 1 tsp. salt.
  2. Dip the cheese sticks in the eggs and let the eggs drain slightly back into the bowl. Roll the cheese sticks in the breadcrumb mixture. Place the sticks on a baking sheet.

  3. After a while, dip them again in the beaten eggs and breadcrumb mixture. Cover and place in the freezer for 2 hours. This is to prevent the cheese from melting during frying.
  4. Once the sticks are frozen, you can begin preparing them further.

    To do this you need to:
    Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the cheese sticks until golden brown, about 1 minute per side. Transfer the sticks to a plate and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Serve with marinara sauce.

    We suggest you cook breaded fried cheese from pretzels.
