Ingredients:
- 1 serving of pizza dough on a baking sheet
- 1 can (800 g) canned whole peeled tomatoes, drained
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp hot honey + extra for drizzling
- 1/4 tbsp. grated parmesan
- 340 g whole milk mozzarella, grated (about 3 cups)
- One and a half sticks of 170g pepperoni in natural casing, sliced 0.3cm thick.
- 0.5 cups thinly sliced pickled hot cherry peppers

Preparation:
- Step 1
- Pizza dough:
Knead the pizza dough on a baking sheet. During the final proofing, place a pizza stone or inverted baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and preheat the oven to 260°C (500°F) for 1 hour.
Step 2 - Meanwhile, prepare the tomato sauce.:
Place the tomatoes in a medium saucepan and crush them using your hands or a wooden spoon. Add the salt, garlic, oregano, hot honey, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently and crushing the tomatoes with a wooden spoon. Continue to simmer, crushing the tomatoes, until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5 minutes. Let cool.
Step 3 - Sprinkle the dough with 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle mozzarella on top, leaving a 1 cm border. Spoon tomato sauce on top. Arrange slices of pepperoni and marinated cherry peppers. Step 4
- Place the pizza pan directly on the hot stone and bake until golden brown around the edges and the pepperoni is crisp, 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle the pizza with the remaining 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Let cool slightly. Step 5
- Loosen the edges of the pizza with a spatula, then remove it from the pan. Transfer the pizza to a cutting board and cut into squares. Drizzle with hot honey.
