These rolls seem complicated at first, but once you understand the basics, you'll definitely want to try them: Pepperoni pizza is rolled into a roll and cut into discs—that's the whole secret! Bake them, drizzle with hot honey, and serve as an appetizer.

  • 5 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 450 g pizza dough
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella + extra for sprinkling
  • Pepperoni slices for topping
  • Vegetable oil to grease the pan
  • Hot honey to drizzle
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 200°C. Melt butter and garlic in a saucepan.
  • Step 2
  • On a work surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 20x45 cm rectangle. Brush with one-third of the garlic oil and sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella. Arrange pepperoni slices along one long side of the dough, then continue adding pepperoni to cover half the dough. Roll the dough tightly, starting with the pepperoni side, then cut into 16 circles.

  • Place the rounds cut-side up in a greased 8-inch cast-iron skillet and brush with the remaining garlic butter. Bake until golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with mozzarella and continue baking until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Drizzle with hot honey before serving.
