Try the popular Aperol Spritz as a frozen slushie. It's just as delicious, but even more refreshing. Perfect for a summer brunch or bachelorette party! This recipe combines Aperol liqueur with freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice and freezes. Then, scrape the delicious ice with forks, spoon the resulting snow-like mixture into glasses, and top with Prosecco. You can store the slushie base in the freezer for a delicious cocktail to share with your guests anytime.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (from 4-6 oranges)
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 1-2 lemons)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 2 cups orange liqueur, such as Aperol
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) prosecco

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a small saucepan, combine the orange and lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat, do not bring to a boil, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon to dissolve the sugar. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove from the heat and stir in the liqueur. Set aside to cool completely.
  2. Pour into an 8x8 inch baking dish and freeze until completely set, at least 4 hours or overnight.

  3. Scrape the surface of the frozen mixture with a fork and spoon 0.5 cups of slush into glasses, topping each with prosecco.
