Recipe for making melon slush with green tea, lemon juice and mint.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 bags of green tea
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 piece (2.5 cm) ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 cups diced pulp muskmelon (1 small melon)
  • 330 ml. ginger ale or any non-alcoholic carbonated drink
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place the tea bags in a saucepan and pour 1.5 cups of boiling water over them. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags from the saucepan and cool the tea to room temperature.
  2. Meanwhile, combine 3 tablespoons of water, sugar, and ginger in another saucepan. Place the saucepan on the stove and heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove the saucepan from the stove and let the syrup cool, then discard the ginger. Add the ginger syrup to the tea and stir. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze for 2-4 hours. Freeze the melon pulp for 2 hours.

  3. Place half of the ingredients (tea ice cubes, frozen melon, ginger ale, lemon juice, and mint leaves) in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the drink into 2 glasses. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 2 more drinks.
