Melon Martini

How to Make Melon Martini
Time: 5 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 1

To make a delicious summer martini, you don't need vermouth. The main flavor component is everyone's favorite seasonal fruit: melon! This recipe blends two varieties of melon—cantaloupe and honeydew—for a stunningly multifaceted flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml of melon vodka
  • Half a Honeydew melon
  • Half a Cantaloupe melon
  • 1 tsp. agave nectar
  • 2 Cantaloupe melon balls and 1 Honeydew ball, for garnish
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Remove the seeds and rind from the entire melon and blend until smooth.

Honeydew melon is rich in vitamins, and cantaloupe is an excellent source of beta-carotene. Add honeydew vodka and you'll have a delicious, mineral-rich martini. If the honeydew melon isn't sweet enough, add 1 teaspoon of agave nectar along with the honeydew vodka.
  • Step 2
  • Pour this mixture into a shaker filled with ice and melon vodka. Shake for about 6 seconds, then strain into a large chilled martini glass. Thread melon balls onto a skewer and garnish the glass.
