Hot tea with lemon goes well in the morning, many people won't refuse a refreshing iced tea on a hot afternoon, and this Tea and Lemon Martini is great for parties if you don't drink alcohol but don't mind keeping the company during a toast.


Ingredients:


Tea
  • 180 ml unsweetened iced tea
  • 90 ml (0.5 cup) simple lemon syrup
  • 1 strip lemon zest, peeled with a vegetable peeler
  • Ice

Simple lemon syrup
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Add the tea and lemon syrup and shake. Pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon zest strip.
  • Step 2
  • Simple lemon syrup:
    Yield: 1 tbsp.

    Combine sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Let cool, then add lemon juice. Use the syrup immediately or store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
