Spicy tomato sauce "Arrabbiata" is one of the simplest sauces for authentic Italian pasta. To make it, pureed canned tomatoes are simmered with red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and fresh basil until infused with the luxurious aroma of Mediterranean herbs—it takes just minutes. Stir cooked penne rigate pasta into the sauce. Thanks to its tubular shape and ribbed surface, the pasta holds a generous amount of the delicious sauce, allowing you to fully enjoy its rich, savory flavor.
