Complexity: easily
Quantity: 8 mini sandwiches

A recipe for small sandwiches with two types of cold cuts and cheese. To prepare, we fried slices of salami and placed a slice of Havarti cheese on each to melt it. Then we fried cooked mortadella and added slices of cheese for the melting process. Hamburger buns were split in half, and the bottom buns were spread with mustard. We layered the cold cuts with melted cheese, topped them with pickle slices and chips, and then topped them with the top buns.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 170 g semi-smoked salami (2 thick slices)
  • 4 thick slices Havarti cheese
  • 170 g mortadella - cooked sausage with bacon (2 thick slices)
  • 8 small hamburger buns, pre-cut into halves
  • 1/4 cup grainy mustard (mustard with coarsely ground mustard seeds of various colors)
  • Slices pickled cucumbers
  • Potato chips

We recommend

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the salami slices for 2-3 minutes, until the fat has rendered slightly and the sausage is slightly crispy. Turn over and top with 2 slices of Havarti cheese.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt. Remove the slices from the pan and cut each into quarters. Set aside. Repeat with the mortadella and the remaining cheese.
  2. Spread mustard on the buns. Place a slice of salami and mortadella on each bun, top with pickles and a few potato chips.
