Picadillo (Spanish) picadillo Picadillo (ground meat) is a meat dish popular in many Latin American countries. It's essentially ground beef fried with various vegetables and seasonings or sauces, which vary from country to country. For example, Cuban picadillo, featured in this recipe, is traditionally prepared with garlic, tomato sauce, raisins, and olives. It has a wonderful sweet and spicy flavor and aroma with tart notes. Form picadillo into small patties, fry, and serve on slider buns with garlic sauce for a miniature sandwich appetizer that pairs perfectly with red wine.
