Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the grated garlic, season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  • Step 2
  • In a medium skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  • Step 3
  • In a large bowl, carefully combine the ground beef, almonds, olives, raisins, tomato sauce, allspice, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of salt, distributing the ingredients evenly. Divide the meat mixture into 16 equal portions and form into patties.
  • Step 4
  • Wipe out the skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and heat over medium heat. Fry the patties, a few at a time, turning once, until golden brown on each side and medium-rare on the inside, about 2 minutes per side. Serve on potato buns brushed with garlic mayonnaise and with a side of lettuce.
