Tostones are a snack made from mashed, golden-fried plantains sold by street vendors throughout Latin America. These crispy pieces with a fragrant garlic sauce are hard to resist! Plantains are typically double-fried, but if you're making them at home, it's easier to use store-bought, pre-fried, and frozen tostones.
