Quick pickles for sandwiches
Votes: 2

Time: 45 min.
A simple recipe for amazing pickled cucumbers (pikuli) that don't even require canning. Just prepare and refrigerate. These cucumbers are thinly sliced and used in sandwiches and open-faced dishes, but they can be served as an appetizer with any meal. In addition to vinegar, the pickle marinade also includes whole mustard seeds and other spices, as well as a touch of turmeric, which gives them a traditional yellowish hue. The sweetness of brown sugar balances the tart flavor, resulting in a deliciously zesty pickle.
