This salad is served on skewers and is perfect for buffets or house parties. The fruits pair beautifully with the vegetables, creating a juicy, light appetizer that's also perfect for snacking while waiting for a big festive dinner.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 Honeycrisp apple, peeled and cut into 12 wedges
  • Juice of 1 lemon (optional)
  • 16 green grapes (white grapes)
  • 1 stalk celery (9 cm), cut into 12 slices
  • 24 small lettuce leaves of three types (from salad mix)
  • Special equipment: four bamboo skewers, 17 cm long.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. If preparing ahead, combine the apple and lemon juice in a bowl.
  2. Thread a grape, an apple slice, a celery slice, a grape and three lettuce leaves onto a skewer, piercing them in the middle.

  3. Repeat the process with another apple slice, celery slice, grape, and three lettuce leaves. Add a third apple slice, a third celery slice, and a fourth grape. Assemble three more skewers in the same way.
