Magnolia Salad

Layered magnolia salad with mayonnaise for the holiday table. Made with canned salmon, eggs, potatoes, and apples.


Ingredients:

  • Boiled potatoes 2 pieces
  • Quail eggs 6 pieces
  • Onion, red 1 piece
  • Antonovka apples 1–2 pieces
  • Salmon, canned 300 – 450 grams
  • Mayonnaise 350 grams
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Finely chop the apples, potatoes, and eggs. Mash the canned salmon with a fork. Cut the onion into rings and soak in wine vinegar for 20 minutes. Arrange everything in layers on a platter in the following order: potatoes, eggs, onions, apples, and salmon. Spread mayonnaise over all layers. Garnish the salad with parsley and tomato slices around the edges of the plate.
