Mexican-Style Raw Beet Salad - A Detailed Recipe.


Ingredients:


Salad
  • 3 medium raw beets, peeled and grated
  • 2 cups grated, peeled jicama
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced

Refueling
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 small limes, juiced
  • 1 tbsp. l. sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 small red dried chilli, seeded and cut into rings
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Prepare the dressing: In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, sugar, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
  • Prepare the saladIn a large salad bowl, combine the jicama, beets, and cucumbers with the dressing and toss until smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Serve the salad cold.
