Brownie "Zebra" - detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1.5 cups of sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla
  • 1.33 cups premium flour
  • 3 cups fresh coconut flakes, plus extra for sprinkling
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 100 g of dark chocolate
  • 30 g semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Line a baking dish with foil and grease.

    Beat the butter until soft. Add the sugar, eggs one at a time, and vanilla, then add the coconut flakes and mix until smooth. Add the flour and salt.

    Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and add the baking soda.

    Reserve 2/3 of the white dough for the top layer. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the remaining dough. Mix well and pour into the pan, topping with a layer of white dough. Bake for about 40 minutes. Once baked, let cool. Remove from the pan and remove the foil.
  2. In a separate saucepan, combine the cream and chocolate chips until boiling. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.

    Spread warm chocolate sauce over the brownies. If you'd like to sprinkle with coconut, do so while the chocolate is still wet. Cut into squares and serve.
