A slow cooker brownie combines everything that makes this chocolate dessert so beloved: a slightly crispy crust and a luscious, semi-liquid center. What's more, this recipe doesn't take much prep time. Simply combine all the ingredients and pour into the slow cooker. It's guaranteed to turn out perfectly, even if you've never made desserts before. Since the brownie will be very soft on the inside, spoon it into bowls and serve hot or warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.


Ingredients:

  • 165 g melted butter + extra for greasing the pan
  • 1.5 cups of sugar
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cups dark chocolate pieces
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Line a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker with a large sheet of foil and grease it generously with butter.
  • Step 2
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, flour, eggs, vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in the chocolate chips. Spread the batter in an even layer in the prepared pan. Cover and bake on low for 3 hours; the cake should be set around the edges but still soft in the center.

  • Serve the brownies warm, spooned into a bowl and garnished with ice cream.
