There are several ways to cook bacon, and the best method depends on your circumstances. Learn how to cook bacon perfectly every time.

What dish wouldn't be better with crispy bacon? It seems so easy to prepare, but remember those times when bacon turned out greasy and sloppy? Even the simplest dishes are better if cooked correctly. We offer 3 easy methods for cooking bacon for breakfast and beyond.
Classic method: in a frying pan
This tried and true method is the obvious choice when you need to cook 6-8 slices at a time.

1. Remove the bacon from the refrigerator 15-20 minutes before frying. Bacon cooks better at room temperature (like steak).
2. There's no need to preheat the pan. Place the bacon strips in a cold pan, making sure they're not overlapping. This will allow the fat to render slowly and cook the strips evenly.
3. Cook over medium heat—again, for even browning. Turn the slices as needed until the desired crust is formed. Cook for 8-12 minutes.
4. Dry on a plate lined with paper towels.
For a large company: in the oven
Use this method when cooking bacon for a large crowd and don't want to fry it in batches. Plus, you don't need to flip the slices, so cleanup is quick.

1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and lay out the bacon strips so they are adjacent to each other but not overlapping.
2. Place in a cold oven. Then preheat to 205°C and bake for 25-35 minutes, until desired crust is achieved.
3. Dry on a plate lined with paper towels.
For small quantities: microwave
This is a quick and easy way to make bacon when you just need a couple of slices of bacon for a sandwich or burger.

1. Line a microwave-safe plate with 2 layers of paper towels.
2. Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet (do not overlap). Cover with 2 paper towels.
3. Microwave on high power until crispy, 4-6 minutes. Since the bacon cooks on towels, there's no need to pat dry.
