Make a hearty and delicious breakfast with potatoes baked in the oven with spices, onions, and bell peppers. It's super easy to make. Dice all the vegetables, mix the ingredients, and place them on a baking sheet. Bake at a high temperature until crispy. Serve on its own for breakfast or as a side dish with meat for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients:

  • 2.2 kg red potatoes, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 55 g butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 220°C.
  • Step 2
  • In a large bowl, combine potatoes, garlic, onion, green pepper, red pepper, olive oil, butter, seasoned salt, cayenne pepper, and some coarse salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan twice.
  • Step 4
  • Increase oven temperature to 260°C and bake until crisp and golden brown, 10-15 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Before serving, add salt and pepper to taste.
