Prepare a batch of couscous the night before, and in the morning, all you need to do is add fruit, nuts, and flaxseed, and you'll have a healthy breakfast ready in just 5 minutes.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3/4 cup almond milk + more as needed
  • 0.5 cups whole grain couscous
  • 1 tsp maple syrup + more as needed
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon + more as needed
  • 2 tbsp pecans
  • 4 strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp. Greek yogurt, 2% fat

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Pour the milk into a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from the heat and add the couscous, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir. Cover the saucepan and let sit for 10 minutes. Gently fluff with a fork.
  2. When ready to serve, top with strawberries and sprinkle with nuts. Serve with 1 tablespoon of yogurt, if using, a splash of almond milk, cinnamon, and maple syrup.
