Everyone loves oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, but many will love this new, unusual flavor even more. Infuse homemade oatmeal cookies with tropical flavor by adding exotic dried fruits like dried pineapple, mango, and papaya chunks, along with coconut flakes and toasted pecan bits. The cookies are soft and chewy, with a dense crust and a wonderfully spicy aroma with hints of allspice and vanilla.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and allspice. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with a mixer on medium speed until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  2. With the mixer on low speed, add the flour mixture in two additions. Then, using a wooden spoon, fold in the oats, chocolate chips, coconut, pecans, and dried fruit until evenly combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

  3. Position oven racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  4. Drop the dough, 1 tablespoon at a time, onto the prepared baking sheets (you should get about 12 cookies on each sheet).

Bake until the cookies are golden brown around the edges and the centers are just starting to brown, 17-20 minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes, then transfer them with a spatula to a wire rack to cool completely.
