Transform thick cranberry sauce into a wonderful sweet-tart dessert that's perfect for indulging after a hearty holiday dinner. Simply mix the sauce with cranberry jelly and chill in the refrigerator, then top with a delicate cream cheese glaze and sprinkle with orange zest. Serve cut into squares.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 x 85g packages of cranberry jelly mix
  • 2 x 400g jars of cranberry sauce with whole berries
  • 1 can (220 g) canned pineapple chunks, drained
  • 220 g of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 orange

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Pour 2 cups of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Stir in the jelly mixture until completely dissolved, 1-2 minutes. Add 1 cup of cold water, cranberry sauce, and pineapple. Stir well, making sure to break up any large chunks of cranberry sauce. Pour into a 22x32 cm mold. Cover and refrigerate until set, about 3.5-4 hours.
  2. Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, about 1 minute. Add the milk and mix. The frosting should be thick but still pourable. Carefully spoon the cream cheese frosting in a thin layer over the set cranberry sauce. Grate the orange zest directly onto the frosting. Serve cut into squares.
