Lemon Pepper Seasoning Recipe - A Detailed Guide to Homemade Cooking.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1-2 tbsp finely grated lemon zest, about 3 lemons
  • 2-3 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sea salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to minimum temperature, approximately 50°C.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the lemon zest and black pepper. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the pepper and zest mixture in an even layer. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until completely dry, about 30 minutes.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Using the back of a spoon (or a spice grinder), grind the mixture to the desired grind size. Stir in 1 teaspoon of salt, or to taste.

    If you want the seasoning to have a more pronounced lemon flavor, reduce the amount of pepper or add more lemon zest.

    The seasoning can be stored in an airtight container for several months.
