This spice blend from renowned chef Emeril Lagasse is a favorite among Tex-Mex lovers and is produced commercially. But if you can't find the coveted jar of seasoning, here's a list of the ingredients in precise proportions. Mix everything thoroughly, store in a sealed glass container, and use in a wide variety of dishes to infuse them with its wonderful aroma and piquant flavor.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. l. dried oregano
