Check out this quick apple pies recipe. You don't have to preheat the oven, knead the dough, or prepare the filling. All you need is an electric waffle iron, store-bought pie filling, and store-bought puff pastry. In fact, you can use any filling you like for these quick turnovers. Try pepperoni and cheese, mashed potatoes and sausage, fresh mango, or cream cheese.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

- 1.5 tbsp. apple pie fillings
- Cooking spray to spray the waffle iron
- Special equipment: large waffle iron for square Belgian waffles

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat a large waffle iron.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each into 4 equal squares. To assemble, roll out 1 puff pastry square with a rolling pin to at least a square. Place 3 tablespoons of apple pie filling in the center and fold the dough over to form a triangle. Crimp the edges with a fork. Repeat with the remaining puff pastry squares and apple filling.
- Spray a waffle iron with cooking spray. Place one turnover on each waffle iron plate. Close the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes until dark golden brown. Cook the remaining turnovers in the same manner.
