These turnovers—half-moon filled pastries—can be eaten instead of bread with hot dishes or taken on the go as a snack. They're delicious, cheesy, and, most importantly, quite easy to make. You can skip the kneading and use a pre-made dough. Layered bun dough works best here. Top the dough circles with grated cheese and onion, roll them into a semi-circle, like vareniki, and bake in the oven. Baking time will depend on the type of dough you use, so follow the instructions on the label.
