You can skip the kneading and use a pre-made dough. Layered bun dough works best here. Top the dough circles with grated cheese and onion, roll them into a semi-circle, like vareniki, and bake in the oven. Combine 3 tablespoons melted butter with a pinch of salt and cayenne pepper. Place chilled bun dough circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
