A recipe for a hamburger topping made from deep-fried potatoes with cheese sauce. The sauce is made from butter, flour, milk, beer, and hot sauce. The potatoes are mixed with the sauce and placed on the patty between the two halves of the bun.

Bake 4 cups of fancy french fries according to package directions. Meanwhile, make the cheese sauce: melt 110 g of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add 1/4 cup flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup milk and a pinch of nutmeg, mix thoroughly, and cook for 3 minutes.
Add 8 oz (230 g) of cubed processed cream cheese and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes, until melted. Add 1/4 cup of light beer or chicken broth, 1 tsp. hot sauce and 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt. Add the fries to the sauce and stir.
