The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 900 g of skinless and boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 green apple, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 plum tomatoes, seeded and very thinly sliced ​​lengthwise
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp turmeric (a handful)
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp ground cumin (1/2 handful)
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom (1/3 handful)
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 4 thinly sliced ​​green onions
  • 2 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
  • 4 pieces of warmed store-bought flatbread naan

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 260°C.

    In a large bowl, combine yogurt with spices and lime zest.

    Cut the chicken into large pieces and season generously with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the yogurt mixture and toss to coat evenly. Place a small rack on a baking sheet or roasting pan under the grill. Place the chicken on the rack or in the roasting pan and roast until the edges are charred and the juices run clear, about 15 minutes.
  2. In a serving bowl, combine apples, tomatoes, and green onions. Add lime juice, oil, salt, and pepper to taste and toss to combine.

    Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and serve with the apple-tomato salad and warm bread.
