Ingredients:


Stage 1:
  • 16 peeled and deveined jumbo prawns
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp finely chopped ginger

Stage 2:
  • 1/2 cup natural yogurt
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ancho chili seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Garam mixtures masala
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 4 metal or wooden skewers (pre-soaked)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Mix lemon juice, garlic, and ginger. Place the shrimp in a shallow baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Let sit for 15 minutes. Drain the marinade and pat the shrimp dry.
  • Step 2
  • Mix all ingredients. Return the shrimp to the pan and pour the marinade over them. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour. Thread 4 shrimp onto skewers and grill for 3-4 minutes per side.
