Chili with ground beef and carrots - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 200 g lean ground beef
  • 400g canned black beans, rinsed
  • 800 g canned baked chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp hot chili powder
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, peeled and diced
  • 4 peeled and grated carrots
  • 1/2 tsp. brown sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large saucepan, heat the oil to medium. Add the garlic and green onions and cook for about 1 minute. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the chili powder.
  2. Add the tomatoes, beans, bell pepper, carrots, brown sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat. Cover and simmer the chili over low heat for 15 minutes.

    Chef's tip: If you have more eaters, double the amount of minced meat.
