Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 110 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 50 g unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 very large eggs
  • 2 tsp. instant coffee granules, such as Nescafe
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
  • 110 g butter

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Melt the chocolate chips and unsweetened chocolate in a medium bowl over a double boiler. Set aside for 15 minutes. In a large bowl, combine (without whisking) the eggs, coffee, vanilla, and sugar. Stir the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and let cool to room temperature.
  2. Preheat oven to 180°C.

In a medium bowl, sift 1/4 cup flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry mixture to the chocolate mixture. Melt the butter and chocolate spread in a small bowl and thicken it with a tablespoon of flour, then add it to the chocolate mixture. Spoon the batter into three mini cast-iron skillets (8 cm each) and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes. Don't overbake!

Serve the dessert warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.
