Make a quick, delicious, and healthy dessert by roasting pineapples and drizzling them with chocolate sauce. Add some creamy mascarpone cheese for a creamy finish, and sprinkle with crushed nuts. This dessert looks beautiful and festive, making it perfect for any holiday table.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 pineapples, peeled and cut into 1.5 cm rings, core removed
  • 2/3 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread (Nutella recommended)
  • 6 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp chopped roasted hazelnuts

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat. If you don't have an outdoor grill, you can use a grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill.

Grill the pineapple rings for about 3 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Don't touch the pineapples during this time, so the grill marks will be visible on the cut side.
  2. While the pineapple is roasting, combine the mascarpone and vanilla extract in a small bowl.

  3. In another bowl, combine the chocolate spread and cream. Microwave on full power for 2 minutes, stirring every 20 seconds. Alternatively, combine the chocolate spread and cream in a small saucepan and heat over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. You should have a smooth, runny chocolate sauce.
  4. Place the finished pineapple rings on a large plate and drizzle with warm chocolate.

Spoon mascarpone on top, sprinkle with nuts and serve.
