This delicious grilled pineapple dessert comes together with minimal effort, with most of the time spent marinating the fruit. The lime juice adds a nice acidity to the sweetness of the glaze. The resulting flavor will likely make you want to make this dish again and again.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1/2 pineapple, cut into 2cm thick rings, remove core
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Juice from 2 limes
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup vanilla ice cream

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a baking dish, combine honey, lime juice, and cinnamon. Place the pineapple rings in the glaze and let them marinate for 2 hours, turning occasionally.
  2. Heat a grill pan over medium heat.

    Place the pineapple chunks on a preheated grill pan. Grill on both sides until the glaze caramelizes and brown stripes form (about 2 minutes per side).

  3. For servingPlace the pineapple rings on individual plates and top with a scoop of ice cream. Drizzle with the remaining honey syrup and serve.
