A trail mix of dried fruits and nuts is a healthy snack you can take on the go and keep on hand. Instead of buying a ready-made trail mix, you can easily create your own using your favorite ingredients. Simply mix together various dried fruits, nuts, peanut butter M&Ms, and seeds, and divide them into baggies. This snack also includes healthy oatmeal, baked in chunks with a honey glaze—you won't find something like this in any store-bought trail mix! This nutritious snack will keep you full for a long time.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 3 cups of dried fruit mixture, dried apricots or prunes
  • 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups mixed nuts
  • 0.5 cups peeled sunflower seeds
  • 0.5 cups raisins
  • 0.5 cup coconut flakes
  • 1 cup peanut butter M&M's

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Mix the rolled oats with 2 tablespoons of water, vegetable oil, wheat germ, and honey. Form small clusters of the mixture on the baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, until crispy.
  2. Add the dried fruit mixture to the baking sheet, sprinkle with cinnamon, and bake for another 3-5 minutes. Let cool, then toss with nuts, seeds, raisins, coconut, and M&Ms. Store in an airtight container.

    Exit: 8.5 tbsp.
