The Ramos Gin Fizz was created in New Orleans in the late 19th century by a bartender named Henry Ramos, after whom it was named. At one time, this cocktail was so popular and in demand that Ramos' bar employed over 20 bartenders exclusively preparing it. The Ramos Gin Fizz is considered one of the most delicious cocktails and is made with gin fizz—a mixture of soda water, citrus juice, and gin—with the addition of simple syrup and cream. For a group, you can prepare a large pitcher of the cocktail in advance, combining gin, lime juice, lemon, orange blossom water, and simple syrup. Shake each serving in a shaker with ice and cream, then top it off with soda water.
