Cocktail "French 75"

The cocktail has a history, but it was given its name, the French 75, in 1930. Add a splash of sugar syrup, a little more lemon juice (2 tablespoons), gin to taste, and finish with a layer of champagne.


Ingredients:

  • 60 ml. gin
  • 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon finely ground sugar
  • Champagne
  • Lemon peel, cut into a spiral shape
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Combine gin, lemon juice, and sugar in a shaker filled with ice. Strain into a coupe flute and top with champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist.
