To make this gravy, you don't even need to roast the meat or chicken to use its delicious juices. It's made with any fat you have on hand. It could be lard, vegetable oil, or even bacon grease. Thicken it in a frying pan with flour, then pour in the chicken broth and stir in the spices and fresh green onions. Even a novice cook can handle this recipe, and the gravy will be delicious and thick. It can be made ahead of time and served with meat and any side dishes. Leftovers keep well in the freezer.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
